The 11th World Conference of the International Ombudsman Institute (IOI) officially raised its curtain in Bangkok on November 16, 2016 making it the first time that that World Conference of IOI, which is regularly held every 4 year, is hosted in Asia. The delegates attending the conference under the theme �Evolution of Ombudsmanship� represent 114 organizations from 6 regions across the world: Africa, Asia, Australasia & Pacific, Caribbean & Latin America, Europe and North America. The conference aims at exploring academic cooperation in improving standard practices of inspection and exchanging experiences in the areas of inspection and interrogation of public petition.
