        Mrs.
Supawan Teerarat, Senior Vice President, Thailand Convention & Exhibition
Bureau (Public Organization) or TCEB
, stated that the instructions given by The Centre for Covid-19 Situation
Administration (CCSA) on the
Special Arrangement has allowed foreign nationals to enter Thailand
on a short stay with 14-day quarantine exemption. Thus, certain health and
safety measures must be developed to serve such arrangement. TCEB has been
designated as the responsible agency together with the Department of Disease
Control, Ministry of Public Health and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in
submitting entry permit procedures. Under the arrangement, medical and public
health companions are required for foreign nationals with investment purposed throughout
their journey in Thailand. In this connection, DMCs were brought in as they
have expertise and experience in planning and designing itineraries that cover
pre-departure, onsite and post-trip for business travelers, while their staff
and manpower in the travel industry operationalize the itineraries. The
training to serve the governments special arrangement for overseas travelers
will contribute to Thailands status as the first-rate host country that
delivers Beyond Expectation service standard through the globally renowned
Thai hospitality. Above all, such initiative will help create and maintain
employment of service providers as the training served to re-kill Thailands
workforce in accordance with the governments policy. Likewise, it will help prepare
sustainable future for MICE industry.
