If you still want to know why
you should choose Thailand and TCEB, let the success of our 2020 events be your
answer. We welcomed 10,456,000 MICE travellers, generating
61.317 billion baht. Of these travellers, 500,000 were international
visitors, brining in 29.819 billion baht, and 9.95 million
domestic travellers, spending 31.498 billion baht. It was
estimated that in 2020, the MICE market in Thailand generated 165 billion baht,
and allowed the nation to collect almost 11.59 billion baht in tax and created
more than 95,300 jobs. Not only that, we adhere to the
government’s “Thailand 4.0“ policy that focusses on the use of
innovation and sustainable event management. Event participants
got to experience the lively scenes of seven MICE cities: Bangkok,
Khon Kaen, Chiang Mai, Nakhon Ratchasima, Pattaya (Chonburi), Phuket, and Songkhla. Other potential
MICE cities in Thailand include Chiang Rai, Udon Thani, Phitsanulok,
Kanchanaburi, Ubon Ratchathani, Rayong, Cha–am/Hua Hin,
Surat Thani, and Nakhon Si Thammarat.

Thailand is now ready to be
the centre of the MICE business in Asia. In preparation,
TCEB has paved the way for the establishment of regional TCEB
offices in the four main regions of Thailand, working hand in hand with both the
public and private sectors in each region. We aim to facilitate the sustainable development of the event
management business across the country. We are also training
personnel for offices in the four regions: the south,
north, northeast, and central and east. Each office takes
a progressive approach towards event management, co-operating with local
governmental bodies and businesses to raise awareness and create jobs. With the slogan “Restore, Support,
Promote“, we are pushing Thailand to be the centre of
the MICE industry in Asia and restore the country’s economy in every aspect. Thailand is more than ready to lead.

The main missions of TCEB at
the regional level are to push development policy that integrates MICE business
policy with local strategic planning, and to initiate personnel training and
location preparation, as well as to raise awareness among local entrepreneurs. We also aim to support in promotion and bidding for events at
national and international levels, and to archive and analyse relevant
information that is crucial to the strategic development of the MICE business. We advocate for distribution of jobs and income to locals, and
urge cities to be prepared for the advent of the MICE industry in their region.
Moreover, TCEB aims to be the
leading force in developing potential cities in each region to become
internationally-recognised event and exhibition go–to locations. We believe in building networks of alliances in the regions,
policy integration, the voice of the locals, and sharing the same goals in
developing areas and communities for the MICE business. We urge people to
participate, learn about and understand the MICE industry while maintaining
their unique traditions. We aim to distribute prosperity and income to all
regions and communities, and to enhance the holistic economy of the country. In this way, Thailand can become a true full–service
meeting point that is the centre of the MICE industry in Asia.
