The Royal College of Ophthalmologists of Thailand has won bid to host the 34th Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO) Congress in 2019. The congress will be hosted in Bangkok and will attract around 2,500 overseas delegates.
Supported by Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau, the Royal College of Ophthalmologists of Thailand presented the bid during APAO Congress 2016 in Taipei, Taiwan in March and won the bid on the basis of the country’s convenient location and accessibility, capacity of venue, suitable facilities, a variety of accommodation and strong support of local partners.
