8 December 2020, Bangkok: Mr. Chiruit Isarangkun Na Ayuthaya, President, Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization) or TCEB<\/span><\/b>, stated that TCEB is leading 32 Thai entrepreneurs to join Europe\u2019s premier trade show IBTM World Virtual 2020 between 8 and 10 December. The entrepreneurs comprise Thailand Incentive and Convention Association (TICA), one event organiser, six DMCs, 20 hotels, 3 MICE venues and TCEB.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cEurope is our priority long-haul market. Pre-COVID 19, European MICE travellers to Thailand reached 1.2 million with the market value of around 4.7 billion baht. Attending the IBTM is therefore an essential opportunity to reach and update the market about Thailand\u2019s COVID prevention measures, marketing campaign of TCEB and services offered by Thai MICE entrepreneurs. They will secure confidence of buyers in choosing Thailand as their future destination.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Before the actual event, TCEB held a hybrid meeting on December 7 at Landmark Hotel for Thai MICE entrepreneurs to learn and familiarize themselves with tools and platform for virtual business meeting on actual operating days between 8 and 10 December. During these three days, Help Desk Center of TCEB is located at Landmark Hotel to provide technical support and facilitation for their virtual business contacts.<\/span><\/p>\n Mr. Chiruit<\/b> elaborated that TCEB has the opportunity to inform the European market of Thailand\u2019s success in the prevention of COVID-19, the planned availability of vaccine in Thailand by mid-June next year, World Health Organization\u2019s recognition of Thailand as a role model in the infection handling, Thailand\u2019s stringent hygiene measures that have enabled the full resumption of domestic MICE, and TCEB\u2019s collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health in training MICE personnel to become Medical Control Team who will accompany future incoming groups from overseas.
