TCEB named Thailand\u2019s Most Admired Company 2020<\/span><\/o_p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n


\n12 November 2020, Bangkok: TCEB has won the title Thailand\u2019s Most Admired
\nCompany 2020 under the category of public organisation, marking the two
\nconsecutive years the bureau has earned this honorable recognition. TCEB has
\nhigh scores in organisation management, innovation and expansion of MICE
\nbusiness opportunities nationwide. <\/o_p><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

Thailand\u2019s Most Admired Company
\n2020 <\/span>is a research project jointly conducted for 9 years
\nby BrandAge and the Faculty of Mass Communication Technology, Rajamangala
\nUniversity of Technology Phra Nakhon. The research examines oganisations making
\nefficient achievement in various aspects and, thus, earning trust from their
\ntarget groups.  <\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

In 2020, TCEB has remained for
\nthe second year the organisation that has earned highest level of reliability
\nwith the highest scores in management, followed by innovation, corporate social
\nresponsibility, corporate image, business operations and service. <\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

Mr. Chiruit Isarangkun Na Ayuthaya, President, Thailand
\nConvention & Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization) or TCEB<\/span><\/b>, stated
\nthat major factor contributing such reliability is the unity of collaboration from
\nboth inside TCEB and its partners, both public and private agencies.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMICE industry involves service
\ndelivery and facilitating tasks. Therefore, everybody can be a co-owner. In
\nachieving efficient management that ensures smooth operations of MICE industry,
\ncollaboration management is the key. The research results were the fruit of
\ncollaboration in the entire industry.\u201d <\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

Mr. Chiruit <\/span><\/b>said that TCEB has clearly defined its role as
\na government agency responsible for promoting the nation\u2019s strength with MICE
\nindustry, the major tasks of which are market promotion, standard development
\nand creating opportunities.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

Furthermore,
\nsolid collaboration between TCEB and partners from all sectors, both domestic
\nand international, has enabled Thailand\u2019s MICE industry to become the top
\ndestination in ASEAN, both in meetings and exhibitions, according to the report
\nof International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) and the Global
\nAssociation of the Exhibition Industry (UFI). TCEB\u2019s partners include Thailand
\nIncentive and Convention Association (TICA), Thai Exhibition Association (TEA),
\nThai Hotels Association (THA), convention centres, venues, hotels and
\naccommodation, organisers and all segments representing public and private
\nagencies.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

Currently,
\nThailand has been ranked 4th<\/sup> of Asia as a destination for international
\nconvention and ranked 7th<\/sup> as a destination for international
\nexhibition in the region.<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cTCEB <\/span>considerably
\nprioritises innovation. In terms of marketing, we developed BIZ Connect app and
\nchannel expansion in several platforms, such as websites for MICE Intelligence
\nCenter and Thai MICE Connect. What\u2019s more we provide support for MICE
\ninnovation, such as Thailand MICE Startup project which is the tool to ignite
\nindustry-wide innovation.\u201d <\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

Not limited to marketing, TCEB\u2019s
\ninitiatives have also been concentrated in standard development to enable a
\nlong-term competitiveness of Thailand\u2019s MICE industry. Such initiatives include
\nThailand MICE Venue Standard, ASEAN MICE Venue Standard and the standards in
\nservice, hygiene, environment and safety. 
\n<\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

Mr. Chiruit <\/span><\/b>revealed that, \u201cTCEB takes pride in encouraging
\nthe awareness towards MICE on a wider scale. Kicking off with MICE City a few
\nyears back, MICE Cities have now risen to a total of 7 provinces and are projected
\nto expand continually as a result of many provinces, including both government
\nsector and communities, realising the importance of such status.  In line with the trend, TCEB has for the
\nfirst time opened regional offices in the four key regions, which will have a
\nrole in co-ordination and facilitation of the development of domestic MICE
\nindustry, thus, creating MICE opportunities across the country and offer of new
\nservices  without limitation.\u201d   <\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n

As for the preparation of Thai
\nMICE industry to respond to the global trend induced by COVID-19 pandemic, TCEB
\nhas devised a strategy \u201cNew Way of MICE for Sustainable Growth\u201d. The strategy
\naims to build up strength through four key approaches: stimulating domestic
\nmarket, bidding for international events, innovation-driven MICE and
\ndevelopment of Thailand\u2019s MICE ecosystem. The overall goal is to restore Thai
\nMICE industry as quickly as possible.   <\/o_p><\/span><\/p>\n
